At [Youyi Electronics Co., Ltd], accuracy is not a feature—it is a requirement. Every hygrometer, thermometer, and environmental instrument that leaves our factory has been individually calibrated and verified to meet or exceed its specified accuracy.

Why Calibration Matters
Calibration ensures that every instrument provides correct, reliable readings. An uncalibrated instrument can cause product quality issues, regulatory compliance failures, and financial losses. Our reputation depends on the accuracy of our products—and that is why we treat calibration as the most critical step in our manufacturing process.

Our 3-Step Calibration Process

Step 1: Initial Baseline Measurement
The first step in our calibration process is establishing the instrument's baseline performance. Each instrument is placed in our calibration chamber and allowed to stabilize at a known reference temperature and humidity. After stabilization, we record the instrument's initial readings and compare them against our reference standards. This baseline establishes the instrument's performance before any adjustments are made.

Step 2: Multi-Point Calibration
Calibration at a single point is not sufficient for a comprehensive assessment. Instead, we calibrate each instrument at multiple points across its full measurement range:

For hygrometers: 20% RH, 50% RH, 80% RH (and additional points for high-precision models) using salt solution chambers or precision humidity generators.

For thermometers: 0°C, 25°C, 50°C (and additional points for high-precision models) using calibrated temperature baths.

For combined instruments: We calibrate both temperature and humidity simultaneously at each reference point.

At each reference point, we record the instrument's reading, calculate the deviation from the reference standard, and adjust the instrument if necessary to bring it within specification.

Step 3: Final Verification
The final step in our process is comprehensive verification. The instrument is tested across its full operating range to ensure it performs correctly, and all readings are recorded and documented. A calibration certificate is generated showing the instrument's performance compared to NIST-traceable standards.

Our Calibration Standards

Reference-Grade Instruments: Our calibration laboratory uses reference-grade instruments with accuracy significantly better than the instruments we calibrate—typically 4 to 10 times more accurate. These reference instruments are calibrated at NIST or equivalent national metrology institutes on a regular schedule.

Calibration Chambers: Our calibration chambers maintain stable, uniform temperature and humidity conditions. Temperature uniformity is verified across the entire chamber to ensure consistent conditions for all instruments.

Regulated Environment: Our calibration laboratory operates at controlled temperature and humidity to ensure consistent calibration conditions. All procedures are documented in detailed work instructions. Comprehensive training is provided to all calibration personnel.

Traceability Documentation
Every instrument we manufacture comes with a calibration certificate. This certificate identifies the instrument by model and serial number, lists the reference standards used and their NIST traceability, shows the pre-adjustment and post-adjustment readings, and is signed by our quality control manager.

The Factory-Direct Advantage
Because we perform all calibration in-house, we control the entire process. This gives us the ability to maintain consistent quality, offer shorter lead times, provide custom calibration requirements, and keep costs competitive.
